Migrate mail from Outlook to Apple Mail

Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express do not make it easy to move mail to Apple Mail because they don't export mailboxes or contacts in a standards format such as vCard or iCal format. In later versions of Outlook you can export mbox format which can be imported into Apple Mail.

A solution is to use third party software to do the translation. Two programs can do this.

O2M will move contacts and calendar entries as well as email accounts while Emailchemy will migrate mail from many more email programs than Outlook or Outlook Express.
